Explore snowy peaks and valleys in the Rocky Mountains, Utah

Experience the most fun you can have on a Ski-Doo with TRAX Adventures

This full-day adventure offers snowmobilers of all levels their dream ride: to go off trail and experience the back country of the Rocky Mountains. We begin with a warm up ride down the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway for about 6 miles. Then we follow a stream bed, through willows and over beaver dams, until we come to our first hill climb. We ride up to the top of the Mill City Creek valley and the base of Gold Hill, winding our way through trees and over hills, we find ourselves looking over Whitney Reservoir. We then descend through tons of spruce and pines until we get to the reservoir, where we cross over Beaver Lake and arrive at the base of Double Hill. Double Hill is the largest snowmobile-climbing hill in the area, where you can see beauty in every direction. From this majestic mountaintop we descend to the Whitney Ranger Station where we sit down by a fire and enjoy our sack lunches. For the rest of the day, we backtrack through the inspiring scenery, play in the open fields and practice our climbing skills.

We require all operators to be 18+ and to have a valid driver's license.

Each group must have at least one individual who is at least 18 years old. This individual will be required to sign documents for all participants under the age of 18.

Guests are welcome to bring their own riding gear. However, all participants are provided with helmets (year-round), and in the winter months, we have snowsuits, boots, and gloves for adults. We do not have snowsuits, snow boots, or gloves for children. We provide avalanche safety gear for all drivers/operators.

We provide sack lunches for all registered participants. Guests are welcome to bring other non-alcoholic beverages and snacks.

Typically, we leave The Cabins at Bear River Lodge at 10 AM and return by 3 PM. This allows time to check the equipment in and out, provide orientation, and return in time to relax in the hot tubs before and after dinner.

We have a small General Store and Grill. The store is open daily from 9-5. The grill is open daily for lunch and serves hamburgers, chicken strips, fries, and pizzas. Arrangements can be made for pizzas to be pre-made and then baked by the guests for dinner. All cabins have full kitchens and BBQ grills on the decks.

We have two large hot tubs that are open year-round and an outdoor swimming pool that is open from mid-June through mid-August. We have two private fishing ponds. One is catch and release and the other is catch and keep. These are also available for ice fishing in the winter. We have two large fire pits available for guests to use throughout the year.
